Health check-up camp for school students
The Department of Kaumarabhritya of SDM Institute of Ayurveda and Hospital (SDMIAH) conducted a health check-up camp for the students of Sparsha JDC Education Trust School, from November 19 to 22 at its campus here (SDMIAH).
Under the expert supervision of Dr. Bharathi D. Anvekar(Professor and Head), Dr. Reena Kulkarni(Professor), Dr. Girish Kumar(Associate Professor), Dr. Srilakshmi(Assistant Professor), and Dr. Priyanka H. S.(Asst. Professor), along with postgraduate scholars and interns, the children underwent general health check-ups and growth monitoring.
91 children were benefited and provided with comprehensive health services. Children requiring further attention for recurrent respiratory complaints, Autism, heart disease, GI complaints, speech disorders, or specialized tests and treatment were advised to visit SDMIAH Hospital’s OPD with their parents. In addition, the children had the opportunity to explore the Herbal Garden and Anatomy Museum, further enriching their experience. Teaching staff of the school accompanied the students.
