Guest Lecture By Visiting Faculty
On 13/07/2026, the Department of Kaumarabhritya at SDMIAH organized an in-house guest lecture by visiting faculty for III BAMS UG and KB Post Graduate scholars in III year classroom from 02:30 pm to 04:30 pm. The session, attended by 57 Under graduates and 13 Post Graduate scholars. Mrs. Yashaswini a Clinical Psychologist, as the guest speaker has elaborated basic examination and assessment of development in children.
Postgraduate scholars actively engaged in a discussion with the speaker on basic instruments required for the assessment ,early identification of developmental delay and interventions. The interactive session greatly helped students to enhance their proficiency and confidence in assessment of development thereby improving the quality of newborn and pediatric care Mrs. Yashaswini offered comprehensive insights into accurate diagnostic approaches for early detection and intervention. The session was exceptionally well received with excellent rating from all the participants.
The departmental staff, including Dr. Reena K (Professor and HOD, Department of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Girish Kumar (Associate Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Srilakshmi (Associate Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Priyanka H.S. Dr.Pravitha P, Dr.Vandana Lakshmi(Assistant Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya)were present in the smooth conduction of the session.
