As part of the National Nutrition Week observed from 1/9/19 to 7/9/19 Department of Swasthavritta had organized a “Diet Consultation” programme on 7/9/19. Patients attending the OPD/ IPD of the hospital of all the departments were offered individual diet advise.

Dept of Kaumarabhritya conducted awareness programme on breast feeding for staff and students on 3rd August 2019. Dr Pratibha, Associate professor in Paediatrics, Rajarajeshwari Medical college and Hospital , Bengaluru was the guest speaker. Poster  competition for students was also part of the program. About 20 excellent posters were presented by our students. 

2000 seed balls were prepared by students and staff of the institute in a workshop conducted on 27th June which is being distributed through the week wide celebrations. As part of Vanamahotsava week celebrations 2019, tree planting drive, seedball distribution, talk on health awareness was organised for students and parents at SGK English Medium School, Kengeri on 27th July,2019 by the students and faculty members of the institute in association with college NSS unit.

Department of Kaumarabhritya organized Guest lecture for Third year BAMS students on 20/07/2019 from 9.30-10.30 am on the topic ‘Childhood Autism” by Dr.Anjana.J (Assistant Professor, Dept of Kaumarabhritya, Astanga Ayurveda chikitsalayam and vidyapeetham, Palakkad). The lecture was highly informative and much information was gathered on various Behavioral disorders seen in children

The NSS Unit in association with the Department of Swasthavruttha, conducted preparatory yoga camps from 15th June to 20th June, 2019  invarious nearby schools to mark the occasion of International Yoga day.
