Orientation Workshop on National Teachers Eligibility Test
An Orientation Workshop on National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET) was held here at SDM Institute of Ayurveda and Hospital on November 14, 15. The programme was organized by the Department of Kaumarabhritya in collaboration with the Student Support, Career Guidance, and Placement Cell of the institute.
The workshop provided a comprehensive review of the NTET syllabus and exam pattern, expert guidance on effective study planning and time management, and interactive critical thinking and problem-solving sessions. Through mock tests and feedback sessions, participants gained valuable insights to enhance their test-taking strategies and confidence.
On Nov 14,Dr. Reena Kulkarni, Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya, spoke on effective teaching and training methodologies, whileDr. Srinivasa S., Professor and Head of Kayachikitsa, shared expert tips on classroom management.Dr. Mamatha K. V., Professor and Head of Shalakya Tantra, (Ayurveda ophthalmology and ENT department), elaborated on various assessment methods, andDr. Sujatha, Professor and Head of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, stressed the significance of effective communication in teaching. Dr. Dipti Godbale, Associate Professor, Department of Rachana Shareera, welcomed the gathering.Madhushree and team invoked the blessings of almighty with a prayer song.
On Nov 15,Dr. Prathibha Bhat, Assistant Professor, Panchakarma department, discussed Educational Psychology, whileDr. Gururaj Jagirdar, Professor and Head of Shareera Rachana, elaborated on Educational Policies of the Government of India.Dr. Padmasarita, Professor and Head of Prasutitantra and Stree Roga, presented Digital Initiatives in Higher Education. Additionally,Dr. Poornima B addressed Learning and Pedagogy, andDr. Parvathy explored Andragogy.
