Krishna Janmashtami celebration at SDMIAH Bengaluru
Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated here at SDM Institute of Ayurveda and Hospital (SDMIAH) with great enthusiasm, on September 2. The event, organized by the Department of Kaumarabhritya (Ayurveda pediatrics) of the institute, featured a colorful fancy dress competition where children dressed as Krishna and Radha, recreating the divine duo’s iconic personas. The celebration was a wonderful tribute to the timeless legend of Krishna’s birth and a delightful showcase of the children’s creativity and talent.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to Krishna and Radha, marked by a mesmerizing flute recital by Dr. Soumya, I PG scholar. The inauguration ceremony featured Dr Anitha M G, Academic dean, Dr. Gururaj, Dean of student welfare, Dr. Poornima B, Administrative dean, Dr. Bharathi, HOD and Professor, and Dr Girish Kumar, Associate professor of the department, watering the sacred Tulasi plant, symbolizing growth and prosperity. PG scholars and department staff were present on the occasion. As a token of appreciation, children were presented with gifts and Tulasi plants.
