World Down syndrome day (21 MARCH)* is a global awareness day which is observed to advocate rights of people with Down syndrome. Incidence of Down syndrome is increasing drastically with accountability of 1 per 850-900 live births in India. Thus knowledge on Down syndrome, early detection and management would aid in comprehensive social outcome. On this eve, together we can empower and encourage people with Down syndrome, families, professionals with initiating few awareness activities.
