‘Samsiddhi 2024’, National Webinar on Cerebral palsy

The Department of Kaumarabhritya (Ayurveda Pediatrics), SDM Institute of Ayurveda & Hospital (SDMIAH), observed World Cerebral Palsy Day by hosting ‘Samsiddhi 2024’, a national webinar on cerebral palsy, on November 5, 6. The webinar commenced with a paper presentation competition for faculties, Postgraduate scholars, UG scholars, and interns, focusing on various concepts of cerebral palsy. On Day 1, participants from across India presented their papers, which were evaluated by an esteemed panel of eight judges. The presentations were divided into four sessions, with two sessions running concurrently in the morning and afternoon.

Day 2 began with the inaugural function and Professor and Head of the Department of Kaumarabhritya Dr. Bharathi addressed the gathering. Dean (Student Affairs) Dr. Gururaj delivered the keynote address, emphasizing comprehensive cerebral palsy management. Four scientific sessions ensued, featuring experts in Ayurvedic understanding, Vethasatthi Marma Chikitsa, Rasaushadi, and Naturopathy in cerebral palsy. Dr. Shailaja U presented on Ayurvedic aspects, Dr. N. Shunmugom on Vethasatthi Marma Chikitsa, Dr. Sujatha on Rasaushadi, and Dr. Vidyashree on Naturopathy.

Each session included interactive discussions and Q&A, fostering a deeper understanding among participants. The webinar concluded with a valedictory function, honoring outstanding 8 paper presenters with the Best Paper Award. Delegates were invited to provide feedback through a designated link.  Associate Professor of Kaumarabhritya department (Co-Organizing Secretary of Samsiddhi 2024) Dr. Girish Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. Co-Organizing Secretaries Dr. Reena (Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Poornima (Assoc. Prof., Dept. of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Srilakshmi (Asst. Prof., Dept. of Kaumarabhritya) and Dr. Priyanka (Asst. Prof., Dept. of Kaumarabhritya) were present. The proceedings were moderated by Dr. Meghana V., Dr. Niveditha, Dr. Mamatha, and Dr. Meghana S K, and PG scholars.
